This project aims to inspire the audience to reconsider approaches to environmental conservation and address the current challenges of climate change. We have designed a humorous and satirical mockumentary performance. Through metaphorical means, we have created a war involving two environmentalist factions, reflecting our contemplation of human-centered environmental protection measures. We call for a shift in mindset towards a symbiotic approach, with the aim of discovering our planet's true needs and restoring natural balance. The film is intended to inspire the audience to reconsider approaches to environmental conservation.
Concept and approach
Shalla Shalla Park is a fictional future park. Amidst the devastating effects of climate change, limited green spaces persist within the city. In this world, two teams hold different environmental protection philosophies and engage in continuous conflict. The Park Guardians establish numerous rules to maintain the ecological balance of the park. They firmly believe that only precise management can keep the park in its pristine state, providing solace for people. However, guerrilla gardeners hold opposing beliefs. They intentionally plant diverse flora to challenge the artificial rules governing the park and promote environmental stability. Clashes between the guerrilla gardeners and the Park Guardians are frequent. So, who will emerge as the victor in this battle?
